Programs
The Louis Stokes-Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) is a National Science
Foundation (NSF) funded program named in honor of former congressman Louis Stokes. The LSAMP program focuses on increasing the number of underrepresented students completing
degrees in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) on the undergraduate and
graduate level. The program works to help remove barriers to inclusion and participation
of underrepresented students (African American, Hispanics, Native Americans, and Pacific
Islanders)
